Script Frenzy Page & Word Count Calculator Widget
I put together a really slick (if I do say so myself) Page and Word Count calculator for Script Frenzy. You have the option of putting in just the pages you wrote each day or just inputting the total page count overall. I also added the option to add your word count either day by day or total as well if you want to keep track of that info as well.
In addition to keeping track of your progress, it lets you see your average words written per day, average pages written a day (all pulled from the actual date so its updated live every day) and tells you if you are on track to win or not (cells go from green to red if you fall behind).
Now usually I make these specifically for Google Docs and Open Office but this time I made it specifically for Microsoft Excel because I was able to add a lot of fun little extra things such as graphs of your progress, etc. That said, you can easily import this into Google Docs or Open Office, etc, just understand that a lot of the formatting will get messed up and some of the bells and whistles won’t work. So if you are importing into an older version of Excel, Open Office or
Google Docs, you may need to do some tweaks. But the basics will work so all you’ll lose are the silly things.
If you can’t figure out how to import, just let me know below and I will help you out as best as I can.
NOTE: Any of the “on track” type calculations will only work while in the month of April because it pulls from the actual day of the month. So if you are looking at this in March or May, expect weird things but everything will work come April.
This calculator represents a lot of work so while I encourage you to repost it on your own website, please just do leave the credit and my URL on it. Thank you in advance for doing this!
